The OpenGrounds Corner Studio opened in 2012 with the simple idea to create a space for students, faculty and members of the community to meet and tinker with ideas in a setting that is as unconventional as it is modern.
Since opening its doors, OpenGrounds has hosted nearly 600 events in addition to daily Open Hours. The Corner Studio has been used by individuals and groups from a plethora of disciplines to think and experience topics ranging from dance to the future of digital communication. Faced with a growing demand and limited space, OpenGrounds is expanding into the space next door (what used to be the Teen Health Center, which moved to the new Children’s Hospital building). The expansion is set to be complete by early 2015.
Until then, please bear with us and check this page for periodical updates and progress photos!
